Zion National Park Campground

Zion River Resort offers more amenities than Zion National Park campgrounds

Providing numerous tent sites and camper cabins, Zion River Resort is your best Zion National Park campground option. Offering more amenities than campgrounds within the park, our resort provides campers a pool, a spa, a playground, a game room, and a social hall with a surround sound theater. Throughout the year, we regularly host special activities, holiday celebrations and even educational seminars. During the summer, we hold bingo nights, ice cream socials and community campfires. Some of our holiday celebrations include a poolside party on the Fourth of July and a karaoke contest on Memorial Day weekend. Unlike Zion National Park campgrounds, when you stay at Zion River resort, you will make new friends.

Your Zion National Park campground accommodations at Zion River Resort are only 13 miles from Zion’s south entrance. When you visit Zion, the park’s enormous monoliths that tower up to 3,000 feet above the canyon floor will make your jaw drop. The most popular recreational activity in Zion is hiking its many trails, which range from a ¼-mile ascent to Weeping Rock, a hanging garden to a four-mile climb to Observation Point, an excellent top-down viewpoint of Zion Canyon. The shuttle ride (April-October) provides an excellent preview of the canyon’s scenery, geology and history, before you even arrive at the trailhead. Due to its close proximity, our resort is the perfect Zion National Park campground to use as your springboard for exploring the area on foot.

If you would like to enjoy alpine scenery instead of sandstone scenery for a while, take the Kolob Terrace Road to Kolob Reservoir, only 24 miles away. Located along the park’s western border, the reservoir is an excellent place to view wildlife, fish, hike, and take in panoramic vistas of red rock mountains. It is also a respite from hot summer temperatures, being 10-15 degrees cooler than the Zion Canyon floor. Another spot worth exploring along the Kolob Terrace Road is Cave Valley, which features mini slot canyons and ancient Native American pictographs. When you choose us as your Zion National Park campground, your recreation options are practically endless!
